What we collect

Two things, and a third only if you allow it.

What you send usThrough the enquiry form: your name, your company if you give one, your email address, your telephone number if you give one, the kind of movement, the routing and dates, and anything you write in the message. Or the equivalent if you write or telephone instead.
What the server recordsOur hosting provider keeps standard web server logs, which include the requesting IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and the browser identification. These are created by the hosting infrastructure rather than by us.

The third is counting visits, which is covered under Cookies and measurement at the foot of this page and happens only once you agree to it.

Why, and on what basis

What we do with it.

To answer your enquiry We use what you send to assess the mission, obtain quotes from operators and reply to you. The legal basis is the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering one.
To run and secure the site Server logs exist so the site works and so abuse can be traced. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
Not for marketing We do not operate a newsletter, we do not profile visitors, and we do not sell or rent data to anyone.

Who else sees it

To obtain a quote we pass the details of the movement to the air carriers we approach. That happens only once you have asked us to obtain a quote, and we pass what the operator needs to price and plan the flight, not more.

Enquiries submitted through the form are written to a file on the server, outside the public area of the website, and are also sent to our own mailbox by email. Both the website and that mailbox are with our host, which therefore processes this data on our behalf as a processor.

Our host is Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. The website is stored on servers in the European Union.

Beyond that we disclose personal data only where we are legally obliged to.

How long

Retention.

Enquiries that lead to a bookingKept for as long as Swiss bookkeeping law requires records of the transaction to be retained.
Enquiries that do notKept while the enquiry is live, then deleted once it is settled, unless the law requires us to keep the record for longer. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights

What you can ask us to do.

Access Ask what data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
Correction and deletion Have inaccurate data corrected, and have data deleted where we have no continuing reason or legal obligation to keep it.
Objection and restriction Object to processing based on legitimate interest, and ask that processing be restricted while a question is resolved.
Portability Receive the data you gave us in a machine readable form, where that right applies.
Complaint Complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or to your national supervisory authority if you are in the European Union.

Write to info@jetmarque.com and we will deal with it within 30 days. No form and no fee.

Cookies and measurement

The site itself sets no cookies. It is plain files with no login, no shopping basket and no session, so there is nothing for a technical cookie to remember.

We would like to count visits with Google Analytics, and we ask first. Until you agree, nothing is loaded from Google and no request reaches them: the measurement script is not on the page at all. Declining costs you nothing, because the site does not use it for anything.

If you agree, Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies and records the pages you open, roughly where you are, which Google works out from your IP address without storing the address itself, your browser and screen size, and how you arrived, for example from a search or a link. It does not receive your name, your email address or anything you type into the enquiry form.

The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, which processes this on our behalf. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

The legal basis is your consent, which is why nothing happens until you give it. The records behind the reports are kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically.

Your answer is kept in your own browser and nowhere else. To change it, use Measurement settings at the foot of any page. Clearing your browser data also clears it, and you will be asked again.

We run no advertising cookies, no remarketing, no social media pixels and no third party fonts: the typefaces are served from this domain.
